GHG Certification
With Climate Change becoming the focus of all the major economies, more and more companies strive to reduce their carbon footprint. This calls for professionals and experts in specific fields who could measure the emissions and certify the company’s emission reductions. The BalanceCO2 team provides validation and verification services to meet this need of the industry. BalanceCO2 provides validation and verification services to clients through the following GHG Registries.
ISO 14064
Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Clean Projects Registry
CSA Reduction Registry
Alberta Protocol

With validators and verifiers demand on rise, it becomes more and more difficult to get qualified personnel to deliver the job on time and with utmost accuracy and quality. We at BalanceCO2 realized this gap and are currently undergoing the ISO 14065 certification to bring more credibility to the excellent work that we are already delivering. Prior to responding to requests for proposals, BalanceCO2 conducts a thorough review to identify risks to impartiality and potential conflicts of interest. If risks are identified, Balanceco2 assesses the level of risk associated with the potential threat. Risks are classified as high or medium. High-risk and medium engagements are not pursued. Low risk engagements are further evaluated to determine if BalanceCO2 is able to effectively mitigate or avoid the risk through a resolution appropriate to the situation prior to initiating the client engagement.
Verification

Verification is the systematic, independent and documented process for the evaluation of a greenhouse gas assertion against agreed verification criteria. Verification provides an independent assessment of the data associated with a GHG inventory or project and typically offers an opinion on the accuracy of the estimates or measurements, thus giving confidence to others interested in the results. To achieve highest standards in this process, BalanceCO2 brings a team of experts specializing in various fields from Renewable Energy to Landfill Management to Energy Efficiency to A forestation and Reforestation.
